The Stutthof concentration camp was the first and longest-operating concentration camp in Poland. It was established for the extermination of the Jewish and Polish intelligentsia, mainly from Pomerania and the Free City of Gdańsk. Built in 1939 and initially intended for about 3,000 people, this camp gradually became a place of suffering and death for over 110,000 prisoners from 26 countries, most of whom were tortured, forced to work, or died in gas chambers. The Stutthof concentration camp is now open to visitors. Due to the graphic nature of the exhibition, it can only be visited by individuals over the age of 13. The tour lasts 5 hours and includes an entrance ticket to the museum as well as guided visits to the former Stutthof site - the old and new camp headquarters, the commandant's villa, the gas chambers, the crematorium, and the memorial to its victims. Additionally, there is an opportunity to watch a film about the camp.
