Upon arrival, you will meet your guide who will lead you through the Old Town, which remained unchanged by World War II, listed as a UNESCO site in 1997 due to its largely intact medieval street plan and outstanding buildings. Starting from the Leaning Tower, part of the medieval city walls, the Town Hall, and the Artus Court. You will also explore the nearby New Town, founded in 1264 and joined the Hanseatic League 12 years later. Admire the merchant houses made of red brick and the Gothic church towers, such as the late Gothic St. James' Church. Visit the ruins of the Teutonic castle, destroyed by the townspeople in 1454.
