During this 5-hour tour, a qualified guide will share with you the most interesting stories related to Malbork Castle. The tour includes a visit to the 14th-century Grand Master's Palace, which was once the residence of the so-called Grand Master of the Teutonic Order, a visit to St. Mary's Church in the High Castle, viewing various permanent and temporary exhibitions of the castle, such as the collection of weapons, armor, banners, and the vast Amber Museum in the Middle Castle.
In 1274, over 40 years after the Prussian conquests, the Teutonic Order began the construction of the castle in Malbork. It gradually became the most important building for the Teutonic Knights - it was the seat of the Teutonic master and thus the capital of the entire Teutonic state.
Malbork Castle, beautifully situated on the banks of the Nogat River, is currently considered the largest Gothic castle in Europe and an example of medieval defensive architecture. In 1997, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and significant monuments in Poland.
