The third part of the 25th edition of the Jazz Jantar Festival, planned for the autumn, will allow you to taste jazz in British, German, and Polish versions. We have behind us the spring and summer editions of the Festival, totaling 19 concerts, including 10 Polish performers, as well as stars that shine this season at European festivals, such as the James Brandon Lewis Quartet, Binker & Moses, Rudresh Mahanthappa's Hero Trio, and the Norwegians Stian Westerhus and Erland Dahlen. Reports from these concerts can be found on Facebook.com/JazzJantar in the descriptions of the photo albums.
With the autumn program, we open up to new faces, rising stars, and generally young creators. As Tomasz Rozwadowski recently wrote: the merit of jazz festivals is their openness to new sounds, not only in the sense of being played by new people but also new, because not necessarily clinically jazz. This has become a driving force of music, and Jazz Jantar has made significant contributions here, as one of the first in Poland to switch to new thinking. We hope that the autumn program, in which many performers will debut before the Polish audience, will reflect this opinion.
