Emilka's Appearance - one of the last compositional works of Możdżer, written on the commission of the Baltic Sea Culture Centre on the occasion of the commissioning of renovated organs in St. John's Church in Gdańsk. The piece was written for a very unusual ensemble - mixed choir, organ, and piano. A meditative composition in character, maintained in a modal aesthetic, allowing space for improvisation for both the organist and the pianist. A beautiful text by Jan Paweł Woronicz describing the city sparkling with gold and precious stones illustrates inspired states of mind symbolized by twelve precious stones: jasper, sapphire, chalcedony, emerald, sardonyx, sardius, chrysolite, beryl, topaz, chrysoprase, hyacinth, and amethyst.
